DigiFlora

CHALLENGE

Client Brief: The challenge was to address the environmental impact of traditional flower greeting boards in Indonesia by designing a user-friendly digital solution that appeals to both individuals and businesses, encouraging them to shift towards a more sustainable option.

My Role: As the sole product designer engaged remotely, I was responsible for the entire design lifecycle of the DigiFlora platform:

  • Developed a brand identity that resonates with the platform's mission.

  • Designed intuitive and accessible user interfaces for both users and partners, for a responsive experience across different devices.

  • Conducted user research to understand the needs and preferences of our target audience, incorporating these insights into the final design.

OUTCOME

Results: The launch of the DigiFlora platform was met with positive feedback from users and partners, noting its ease of use and the positive impact on reducing waste. The digital alternative to flower boards was adopted by several large funeral home chains, as well as 5-star hotels in Indonesia, contributing to a significant reduction in floral waste.

Insights: This project reinforced to me the importance of understanding human behavior and psychology, and with it the value of iterative testing to promote sustainable practices through design.

Tools and Technologies: Utilized Figma for UI & UX design and prototyping, Adobe Illustrator for brand assets.
