Tanarasa Restaurant

CHALLENGE

Brief: Tasked with creating a cohesive brand identity for Tanarasa, an upscale restaurant in Ubud renowned for its iconic jungle views and a menu inspired by Balinese culinary traditions. The challenge was to encapsulate Tanarasa's unique blend of traditional Balinese cuisine and sustainable practices in a brand identity and online presence that resonates with both local and international diners.

My Role: As the freelance designer, I was responsible for the entire brand identity creation, including art direction for food photography and the design and development of the restaurant’s website.

  • Developed a brand identity that reflects Tanarasa’s promise.

  • Art directed food photography to visually convey the quality and ethos of the cuisine.

  • Designed and developed a user-friendly website that showcases the restaurant’s philosophy, menu, and stunning location.

OUTCOME

Results: The brand identity and website successfully launched, capturing Tanarasa’s essence and attracting both new and returning diners. The website, in particular, became an important tool for reservations and food delivery ordering during the pandemic.

Insights: This project gave me an interesting look into the hospitality industry, where the story and visuals must create a compelling narrative that draws guests in and reflects the brand’s core values.

Tools and Technologies: Utilized Adobe Creative Suite for brand assets, and Webflow for website development, ensuring a responsive and intuitive user experience.
